Hike Treparksmötet/
the Three-Park-Meeting
Treparksmötet is a multi-day hike in the Laponia World Heritage Site, where three national parks—Sarek, Padjelanta, and Stora Sjöfallet—meet. The trail is considered one of the Swedish Tourist Association’s signature routes and offers a close-to-nature experience away from the most heavily trafficked paths. Along the way, you will encounter a varied mountain landscape with high peaks, lakes, rivers, and vast scenic views.
The hike is approximately 45 kilometers long and is usually completed in about four days. It begins in Ritsem, where you take a helicopter as part of our regular flight either to STF Akka Mountain Cabin or to our landing site on the mountain above Vaisaluokta. The tour concludes with a return helicopter flight in the opposite direction. Along the route, you stay in mountain cabins or tents, and you need to plan your own meals as the only small shop is located in Ritsem. Drinking water can be sourced from natural streams.

The landscape is characterized by the striking contrast between the mighty Áhkká massif and the more open terrain of Padjelanta. There are also opportunities for summit hikes for those interested.
The trail is divided into stages of varying length and difficulty, but it is well suited for beginners thanks to clearly marked paths and duckboards. The hike takes you through forests, marshlands, and alpine terrain. Along the way, you will cross bridges, streams, and viewpoints, including the actual meeting point of the three national parks.
The hike ends either at our landing site along the trail on the mountain above Vaisaluokta, or at our helipad next to STF Akka Mountain Cabin, depending on which direction you choose to hike.
